Construction

What changes inside the jacket with each construction

Fused

An interlining is bonded to the jacket front with heat. It gives a clean, light front and the lowest make cost. The chest stays flatter and moves less with the wearer.

Half canvas

A canvas layer floats through the chest and the lapel, and the lower front is fused. The lapel rolls instead of lying flat, and the chest shapes to the wearer over time. For a shop that sells on the cloth, this is the usual starting point. Half canvas, full package, starts at 185 USD.

Full canvas

The canvas runs the full length of the front, and nothing is fused to the cloth. It suits fine cloth that you do not want stiffened by glue. Ask us for a full canvas quote with the cloth you have in mind.

What the starting price does not include

  • Shipping Prices are ex works Shanghai. They do not include shipping time or cost.
  • Import duties You pay them, at your own country's rate.
  • Special-order cloth Cloth we do not hold, such as Loro Piana or Holland & Sherry, is priced on the reference you choose. The mill's lead time comes before our 14 days in production.

There is no minimum order beyond one piece, and no stock to buy up front.
